Pikes Lane Pharmacy (1085137)

Inspection outcome: Standards met

Last inspection: 17/12/2025

Since January 2025 our inspection reports are more concise and accessible - find out more about the changes

Pharmacy context

This busy community pharmacy is located in a medical centre with four different GP practices. Most people who use the pharmacy are from the local area and a home delivery service is available. NHS dispensing is the main activity, and it also provides a number of other NHS services including Pharmacy First the New Medicine Service (NMS) and the seasonal flu and Covid-19 booster vaccination service.
This was a full reinspection following an inspection in April 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standard 4.2. Since the inspection the pharmacy had started sealing compliance packs after they were prepared. And cautionary and advisory labels were now included on backing sheets and packaging leaflets were routinely handed out.

What do the inspection outcomes mean?

After an inspection each pharmacy receives one overall outcome. This will be either Standards met or Standards not all met

Met The pharmacy has met all the standards for registered pharmacies
Not all met The pharmacy has not met one or more of the standards for registered pharmacies

What do the summary findings for each principle mean?

The standards for registered pharmacies are made up of five principles. The pharmacy will also receive one of four possible findings for each of these principles. These are:

Excellent practice The pharmacy delivers an innovative service and benefits the whole community and performs well against the standards
Good practice The pharmacy delivers positive outcomes for patients and performs well against most of the standards
Standards met The pharmacy meets all the standards
