Pharmacy context

This is a closed pharmacy situated in a business unit in St Helens, Merseyside. The pharmacy’s sole activity is the NHS community pharmacy contraception service through the website www.contraceptiondirect.uk. People would visit the website to book an appointment for a telephone consultation, and if they were suitable the pharmacy dispensed and posted the medication directly to the person. This was a desktop reinspection following an inspection in June 2026 where the pharmacy did not meet Standard 1.5. This reinspection focused on those Standards which had previously not been met. The pharmacy has obtained the necessary professional indemnity insurance. A copy of the insurance certificate has been received showing it is current and in-date.
