Pharmacy context
This pharmacy is located within Russells Hall Hospital which is part of Dudley Group of Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Russells Hall Hospital is the Trust’s largest site and provides a wide range of hospital services including outpatients, diagnostics, inpatient medical care and critical care. The pharmacy does not currently provide any regular activities or services that require GPhC registration, and it remains registered to dispense ad-hoc prescriptions when medication is not readily available at community pharmacies, and as part of emergency preparedness planning.
This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in January 2016.
