Pharmacy context
The pharmacy is in a hospital in a largely residential area in Canterbury. The people who use the pharmacy are mainly those who have been seen by a clinician at the hospital. The pharmacy uses its registration to supply medicines against private prescriptions, outpatient prescriptions and a small number of hospices. It has a Home Office licence and Wholesaler Dealers Licence for supplying medicines to the hospices. It delivers medicines to some people’s homes.
This was an inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in January 2016 and all standards were met.

What do the summary findings for each principle mean?
The standards for registered pharmacies are made up of five principles. The pharmacy will also receive one of four possible findings for each of these principles. These are:
