Pharmacy context
The pharmacy is next to the medical centre in Culcheth, a village on the outskirts of Warrington. It mainly dispenses NHS prescriptions, including dispensing some medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to support people to take their medicines properly. And it delivers people’s medicines to their homes. It provides a range of NHS services including Pharmacy First, New Medicines Service, contraception services and supplying emergency hormonal contraception. It provides private and NHS seasonal flu vaccinations.
This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in September 2015.
