Pharmacy context
This busy community pharmacy is next to a medical practice in Sutton-In-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. Its main services include dispensing NHS prescriptions, selling over-the-counter medicines and providing advice to people. The pharmacy provides a range of NHS consultation services including Pharmacy First, blood pressure checks, contraception services and the New Medicine Service (NMS). It also provides private consultation services including a weight management service, administration of vitamin B12 injections, an ear care service and a skintag removal service. The pharmacy also offers a medicine delivery service.
This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in March 2016.
