Pharmacy context

This community pharmacy is situated next to a GP Practice close to a main road in a residential area. Its main activity is dispensing NHS prescriptions for people living locally, and it manages their repeat prescriptions. It also provides a large number of people with their medicines in multi‐compartment compliance packs. The pharmacy provides other NHS services which includes the New Medicine Service (NMS), and it has a home delivery service. This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion.

Met The pharmacy has met all the standards for registered pharmacies
Not all met The pharmacy has not met one or more of the standards for registered pharmacies

The standards for registered pharmacies are made up of five principles. The pharmacy will also receive one of four possible findings for each of these principles. These are:
