Inspection outcome: Standards met
Last inspection: 12/02/2025
Since January 2025 our inspection reports are more concise and accessible - find out more about the changes
Pharmacy context
The pharmacy is on a main road in a rural village. It dispenses NHS prescriptions and sells a range of over‐the‐counter medicines. Pharmacy team members provide other healthcare services including the NHS Pharmacy First Service, Covid-19 vaccinations, ear wax removal, blood glucose, ketone and cholesterol testing, and seasonal flu vaccinations. The pharmacy also provides injectable weight loss medicines via private patient group direction (PGD).
Enforcement action has been taken against this pharmacy, which remains in force at the time of this inspection, and there are restrictions on the provision of some services. The enforcement action taken allowed the pharmacy to continue providing other services, which were not affected by the restrictions imposed.
This was a reinspection of the pharmacy after it was found to not meet standards 1.1, 1.2 and 4.2 at its last inspection in June 2024, but was meeting other standards. This inspection focussed on those standards which had previously not been met. Since the last inspection, the pharmacy has stopped working with any online prescribing services. It has also made good progress learning from the previous inspection. Team members have implemented risk assessments for new and existing services.
