Pharmacy context
The pharmacy is located in small retail area on a main road on the outskirts of Bolton. The pharmacy dispenses NHS prescriptions and private prescriptions. And it sells some over‐the‐counter medicines. The pharmacy also provides the NHS hypertension service, contraception service, New Medicine Service (NMS) and the NHS Pharmacy First Service. And it also offers a seasonal flu vaccination service.
This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in January 2016.
