Pharmacy context

This is a community pharmacy located in a residential area in Mosspark, Glasgow. Its main activity is dispensing NHS prescriptions. And it provides medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to help people take their medicines properly. One of the pharmacists is an independent prescriber and provides a private weight management service one day per week. The pharmacy provides some aesthetics products such as botulinum toxins and dermal fillers against private prescriptions. It does not supply these products directly to people but supplies them to prescribers or practitioners via collection in person or delivery.

This was a reinspection following an inspection in May 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.1, 1.2, 1.6 and 4.2. This reinspection focused on the Standards which had previously not been met. The pharmacy has reduced the number of aesthetic prescriptions it dispenses and it has overall improved its risk management and record keeping. It no longer delivers medicines requiring cold storage throughout the UK and team members complete some checks to ensure supplies are safe and appropriate. But the pharmacy could do more to support its team members with access to updated procedures to refer to. Team members have made some improvements in recording and learning from mistakes made during the dispensing process.
