Pharmacy context
This busy pharmacy is located in a supermarket in the town centre of Newcastle-under-Lyme. Most people who use the pharmacy are from the local area. The pharmacy dispenses NHS prescriptions, and it sells a range of over-the-counter medicines. It provides a seasonal flu vaccination service, and some other NHS funded services including the Pharmacy First Service. This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in November 2015.
