Pharmacy context

This community pharmacy is on a housing estate on the outskirts of Scunthorpe in North Lincolnshire. Its main services include dispensing NHS prescriptions and selling over-the-counter medicines. It provides NHS consultation services including Pharmacy First, blood pressure checks, contraception services, and the New Medicine Service (NMS). And it has recently introduced a private weight loss consultation service. The pharmacy supplies some medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs, designed to help people remember to take their medicines. And it offers a medicine delivery service.

This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in August 2015.
