Pharmacy context
This community pharmacy is located in the village centre. Its main activity is dispensing NHS prescriptions, some of which it delivers to people's homes. It also sells medicines over the counter and offers the NHS Pharmacy First service, Hypertension case-finding service, and contraceptive service. It supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to some people who need this support to help them take their medicines at the right time. It supplies medicines to some people receiving substance misuse treatment. It offers some private services including travel vaccinations and ear wax removal.
This was a targeted reinspection following an inspection in July 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.1 and 1.2. The pharmacy has introduced new standard operating procedures (SOPs) that reflect their current processes for dispensing medicines and staff have access to these SOPs. The pharmacy team are now recording, reviewing, and sharing learning from any mistakes that they make.
