Last inspection: 24/04/2026
Since January 2025 our inspection reports are more concise and accessible - find out more about the changes
Pharmacy context
This is a community pharmacy in the village of Dalmally, Argyll and Bute. Its main activity is dispensing NHS prescriptions. And it supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to help people take their medicines properly. The pharmacy offers the NHS Pharmacy First service. And team members provide advice on minor ailments and medicines' use. This was a reinspection following an inspection in September 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.1,1.2, 4.2 and 4.3. This reinspection focused on the those Standards which had previously not been met. Since the previous inspection the pharmacy no longer supplies medicines against private prescriptions for a third-party prescribing clinic. Team members keep records of mistakes identified during the dispensing process and the pharmacy has purchased a medical grade fridge to store its medicines that require cold storage. And team members keep records of fridge temperatures to ensure it is operating within recommended limits.
