Pharmacy context
This is a community pharmacy within a parade of shops in Dalkeith, Midlothian. Its main activity is dispensing NHS prescriptions. And it provides multi-compartment compliance packs to help people take their medicines properly. The pharmacy offers a delivery service. And the NHS Pharmacy First service. This was a reinspection following an inspection in November 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.6 and 4.4. This reinspection focused on those Standards which had previously not been met. The pharmacy has resolved several inaccurate stock balances for its higher-risk medicines and it completes regular balance checks to identify any discrepancies. It has made progress to ensure the information it records in the private prescription register and the responsible pharmacist log is complete and accurate. The pharmacy has implemented a process to ensure all Medicines Healthcare and Products Regulatory Agency patient safety alerts and medicines recalls are actioned.
