Inspection outcome: Standards met

Last inspection: 13/07/2026

Since January 2025 our inspection reports are more concise and accessible - find out more about the changes

Pharmacy context

The pharmacy is located on a high street in a primarily residential area of Edinburgh. It dispenses NHS prescriptions and sells a range of over‐the‐counter medicines. Pharmacy team members provide other healthcare services including the NHS Pharmacy First Service and it delivers medicines to some people’s homes. They provide medicines in multi‐compartment compliance packs to help people take their medicines. This was a reinspection following an inspection in February 2026 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 2.1 and 4.3. This reinspection focused on those Standards which had previously not been met. Since the last inspection, the pharmacy is managing all aspects of it’s workload within its operating hours and is being more regularly supported by company relief pharmacists. The pharmacy disposes of patient returned waste correctly and is following an expiry-date checking process.
