Pharmacy context

This is a community pharmacy on the high street in the town of Nairn, Nairnshire. Its main activity is dispensing NHS prescriptions. And it provides medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to help people take their medicines at the right times. Team members provide advice on minor ailments and medicines use. The pharmacy provides a medicines’ delivery service. And the pharmacist provides private services such as the administration of influenza vaccinations. This was a reinspection following an inspection in November 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standard 1.6. This reinspection focused on those Standards which had previously not been met. Since the last inspection, the pharmacy has made improvements to it’s record keeping including records of higher risk medicines returned to the pharmacy and ensuring controlled drug supplies accurately reflect each individual supply. The pharmacy now maintains consistent records of checks it makes on running balances of controlled drug stock and ensures all supplies of medicines are recorded in the patient medication record.
