Pharmacy context
The pharmacy is located in a shopping precinct in the town centre. They dispense approximately 18,000 NHS prescription items per month and provide medicine use reviews (MUR), discharge medicine reviews (DMR), needle exchange, just in case – palliative care boxes, smoking cessation level 2 & 3, methadone for approximately 20 patients (10 supervised consumption), monitored dosage system (MDS) for approximately 100 community patients, blood pressure monitoring, emergency hormonal contraception (EHC) under a patient group directive (PGD), influenza vaccinations for private and NHS patients under PGDs, prescription collection and delivery and diabetic sharps boxes as services.

What do the summary findings for each principle mean?
The standards for registered pharmacies are made up of five principles. The pharmacy will also receive one of four possible findings for each of these principles. These are:
