Pharmacy context

This community pharmacy is in a residential area of Grantham in Lincolnshire. Its main services include dispensing prescriptions, selling over-the-counter medicines, and providing a range of consultation services to people. This includes the NHS Pharmacy First service, seasonal flu vaccinations and a private weight management service. The pharmacy provides some medicines to people in multi-compartment compliance packs designed to help people to take their medicines. And it delivers medicines to people's homes.

This was a reinspection following an inspection in January 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.1 and 4.2. This reinspection mainly focused on the Standards which had previously not been met and on the areas for improvement identified at the last inspection. The pharmacy has improved against all these standards. Its written procedures are accessible to all team members. And team members have completed the necessary learning to ensure they are safely and effectively following these procedures. They take particular care to ensure they provide clear and accurate information to people receiving their medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs. The pharmacy team conducts regular stock management tasks to support them in ensuring medicines are safe to supply to people. And it has shared learning to inform improvements to its record keeping.
