Pharmacy context
This community pharmacy is located within a small parade of shops in a largely residential area. Its main activity is dispensing NHS prescriptions, some of which it delivers to local residents. It also offers other NHS services including Pharmacy First, the contraceptive service, New Medicine Service and seasonal flu vaccinations. Since its last inspection, the pharmacy has changed its address slightly, due to an extension, and has been assigned a new premises number. However, the services are currently provided from the original footprint.
This was a focused inspection which looked at those Standards for registered premises most linked to patient safety. Not all Standards were inspected on this visit. The pharmacy was last inspected under its old premises number in 2019.
