Pharmacy context
This is an independent retail pharmacy situated in a busy area of West London close to Oxford Street. People who visit the pharmacy include local workers, residents, and tourists. The pharmacy sells a wide range of retail merchandise, including skincare and wellbeing products. Its team members provide healthcare advice and sell over- the-counter medicines. The pharmacy dispenses private prescriptions, and it provides a flu vaccination service. It does not offer any NHS services. Mayfair Doctors Walk-In Clinic operates from the basement of the pharmacy. This service is regulated by the Care Quality Commission.
This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in May 2016.
