Pharmacy context

This is a community pharmacy adjacent to a medical centre in the town of Dumfries. Its main services include dispensing of NHS prescriptions, and it provides medicines in multi‐compartment compliance packs to help people take them properly. And they deliver medicines to some people’s homes. Team members advise on minor ailments and medicines use. They provide other healthcare services including the NHS Pharmacy First Service and the NHS Pharmacy First Plus Service. The pharmacy technician conducts medicated weight management consultations. This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in July 2023 and all standards were met.
