Pharmacy context
This is a distance selling pharmacy located in a unit within a business centre, on a trading estate in Welwyn Garden City. It dispenses NHS and private prescriptions for delivery to people. And it supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to some people to help them take their medicine safely. The pharmacy currently offers some NHS services such as a flu and Covid vaccination service on-site. And it provides the Pharmacy First service and New Medicines service at a distance. It has a website www.gate2pharma.co.uk.
This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in June 2016.
