Pharmacy context
This community pharmacy is in a parade of shops in the Nottinghamshire village of Edwalton. Its main services include dispensing NHS and private prescriptions and selling over-the-counter medicines. And it provides a range of NHS consultation services including Pharmacy First, blood pressure checks, contraception services, the New Medicine Service (NMS), and seasonal vaccinations. The pharmacy supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to some people to help them remember to take their medicines. And it delivers medicines to people’s homes. This was a reinspection following an inspection in January 2026 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.1, 1.2 and 4.3. This reinspection focused on those Standards which had previously not been met. The pharmacy has improved against all these standards. It has reviewed its written procedures, and its team members have completed appropriate learning to show they understand these procedures. They make records of the mistake they make during the dispensing process and demonstrate how they engage in shared learning following these mistakes to help reduce risk. The pharmacy has reviewed its storage arrangements for medicines and regularly monitors how it stores these to ensure they are held securely and remain safe to supply to people.
