Pharmacy context

This pharmacy is situated on a side street in a commercial area. Most people who used the pharmacy are local office workers or tourists staying in nearby hotels. The pharmacy has an NHS contract, but it supplies very few NHS prescriptions. It dispenses some private prescriptions, and it sells some OTC medicines and other retail merchandise.

This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in August 2015.
