Pharmacy context
This discharge pharmacy is located within Heartlands Hospital in Bordesley Green East, Birmingham. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of University Hospitals Birmingham (UHB) NHS Foundation Trust. The pharmacy is open for extended hours, seven days a week. It is registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council to dispense and supply medicines against discharge prescriptions. The pharmacy does not have an NHS contract to supply medicines against any community-issued NHS prescriptions and it does not sell over-the-counter medicines.
This was the first inspection since the pharmacy opened.
