Inspection outcome: Standards met
Last inspection: 06/11/2025
Since January 2025 our inspection reports are more concise and accessible - find out more about the changes
Pharmacy context
The pharmacy is in a business park in Skipton. It dispenses a small range of unlicensed topical medicines following a private online consultation. People access the service to help treat hair loss via its website www.densehairexperts.com. The pharmacy does not have a contract to provide NHS services and people do not access the pharmacy premises directly. The pharmacy does not have set opening hours.
This was a reinspection following an inspection in February 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standard 1.1 but was meeting other Standards. This inspection focused on those Standards that had not been previously met. Following the last inspection, the pharmacy has implemented standards operating procedures (SOPs) and risk assessments that cover all the pharmacy’s key processes. This includes recording details of any interventions made, completing effective identity checks and maintaining records of people's dispensing history. The pharmacy has also acted on an area for improvement highlighted in the last report by ensuring the pharmacy's website makes it clear who the prescriber is and how they are regulated.
