Pharmacy context
This community pharmacy is in a largely residential area in Wellingborough. Its main activity is supplying medicines to people against NHS prescriptions, some of which are sent for dispensing at an off site hub also owned by the company. The pharmacy provides New Medicines Service checks, the Pharmacy First service, seasonal flu and Covid-19 booster vaccinations, and travel vaccinations. It has also recently started providing weight management treatments under patient group directions (PGDs). It supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to people who need this support. And it delivers medicines to some people.
This was a routine focused inspection which looked at the core Standards for pharmacies which are most related to patient safety. Not all Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in 2015.
