Inspection outcome: Standards met
Last inspection: 11/08/2025
Since January 2025 our inspection reports are more concise and accessible - find out more about the changes
Pharmacy context
This is a non-NHS pharmacy in Keighley town centre. It mainly dispenses private prescriptions for botulinum toxins and supplies other aesthetic products. And it dispenses private prescriptions for injectable medicines for weight loss issued by UK based prescribers. Prescribers and practitioners register and access services via its website www.thecrystalpharmacy.co.uk. and via a third-party company, which has its own website. The pharmacy delivers medicines and aesthetic products to aesthetic practitioners. It does not supply direct to patients.
This was a reinspection following an inspection in January 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.1 and 4.2. This reinspection mainly focused on those Standards which had previously not been met and on some other core standards relating to patient safety. Since the previous inspection, the pharmacy had improved its written procedures, including its risk assessments to ensure they were accurate and reflected the services provided. And it had made some improvements to ensure checks made by pharmacists during the dispensing process were more robust, to help highlight when supplies may not be appropriate. The pharmacy had completed an audit, which showed medicines requiring cold storage were maintained at the correct temperature during delivery to practitioners.

What do the summary findings for each principle mean?
