Pharmacy context
The pharmacy is in the town of Blackburn, Lancashire. Its main services include dispensing NHS prescriptions and selling a range of over-the-counter medicines. It provides a range of services including a home delivery service, NHS Pharmacy First, NHS blood pressure check service and the NHS New Medicine Service (NMS). It supplies some people with their medicines dispensed into multi-compartment compliance packs. Some prescriptions supplied by the pharmacy are dispensed at an offsite hub pharmacy.
This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in February 2017.
