Pharmacy context
This community pharmacy is situated in a residential area, close to Walsall town centre. The pharmacy dispenses NHS prescriptions, private prescriptions and sells over-the-counter medicines. It also provides a range of services including the NHS Pharmacy First service, blood pressure testing and the contraceptive service. The pharmacy supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs for some people to help them take their medicines at the right time. This was a desktop inspection following an inspection in March 2026 where the pharmacy did not meet Standard 1.6 in relation to controlled drug record keeping. This reinspection focused on the Standard which had previously not been met. The pharmacy has reviewed its arrangements for ensuring that records are made promptly and there are new processes in place to ensure that records are checked regularly in the future.
