Pharmacy context
The pharmacy is in a health centre in Walker, a suburb of Newcastle upon Tyne. It dispenses NHS prescriptions, and it provides some people in multi-compartment compliance packs, to help them take their medicines. Pharmacy team members sell a range of over-the-counter medicines and provide services such as the NHS Pharmacy First service. And they deliver medicines to people’s homes.
This was the first inspection of the pharmacy since it relocated from nearby premises in April 2024.
