Pharmacy context

The pharmacy is located next door to a GP medical centre. They dispense approximately 11,000 NHS prescription items per month and provide prescription collection and delivery, smoking cessation, blood pressure monitoring, monitored dosage system (MDS) for 109 community patients and three care homes with approximately 80 residents in total, influenza vaccinations for private and NHS patients under patient group directives (PGD) during influenza season, medicines use review (MUR), new medicines service (NMS) and methadone for 5 patients (1 supervised consumption) as services. The pharmacy opening hours are Monday to Friday – 7.30am to 10pm, Saturday – 8am to 10pm and Sunday – 8.30am to 10pm.
