Pharmacy context
This community pharmacy is located on a busy retail park in a suburb of Peterborough. It is open extended hours, seven days a week. Its main activity is dispensing NHS prescriptions and providing other NHS services including the Pharmacy First service, the Hypertension Case-finding service, and seasonal flu vaccinations. It provides a dispensing service for a number of care homes and it supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to people who need this support to take their medicines at the right time.
This was an inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion.
