Pharmacy context

A community pharmacy located in Dorking town centre.

The pharmacy is open 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm Sunday.

The pharmacy dispenses between 3,000 and 3,500 prescription items every month.

The pharmacy also provides a range of services including over the counter (OTC) sales of medicines, medicines use reviews (MURs), new medicines service (NMS), a repeat prescription collection and delivery service, malaria prevention, NHS health checks, smoking cessation, seasonal influenza vaccinations, substance misuse treatment for 11 clients and monitored dosage system (MDS) dispensing for around 40 patients.

The standards for registered pharmacies are made up of five principles. The pharmacy will also receive one of four possible findings for each of these principles. These are:
