Pharmacy context

This community pharmacy is situated close to local shops and a doctors’ surgery. Most of its activity is dispensing NHS prescriptions for people who live in the local area. The pharmacy also sells a range of medicines and gives advice to people over the counter. It offers some NHS services including Pharmacy First service, hypertension case-finding service, and seasonal flu vaccinations. The pharmacy has recently started delivering medicines to some people’s homes.

This was an inspection that focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all Standards were inspected on this occasion. The last inspection of the pharmacy was in February 2016.
