Pharmacy context
This pharmacy is on the ground floor of a large Boots store in the main shopping area of Portsmouth city centre. It dispenses people’s prescriptions, sells over-the-counter medicines and gives health advice. The pharmacy also offers a range of other services including a private online doctor service, the NHS Pharmacy First service and hypertension case finding service. It also delivers some medicines to people who can’t visit the pharmacy themselves.
This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in September 2017
