Pharmacy context
The pharmacy is in an office building in the centre of Wilmslow, Cheshire. It provides a private online prescribing service for patients through its website www.assuredpharmacy.co.uk. It operates using on-site and remote pharmacist independent prescribers and its main activity is prescribing and supplying treatment for weight loss. The pharmacy dispenses private prescriptions written by the prescribers and arranges for a third-party courier to deliver the medicines to people’s homes. It also prescribes and supplies medicines for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation and hair loss.
This was a reinspection following an inspection in June 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.1, 1.2 and 4.2. This reinspection focused mainly on those Standards which had previously not been met. Since the previous inspection the pharmacy has updated its written procedures, including its risk assessments and prescribing policies. And it has made some improvements in the way it assesses the quality and safety of its services. This includes auditing medicines requiring cold storage during the delivery journey to show they remain within the required temperature range. Prescribers hold video consultations to assess the suitability of treatment following the completion of an online questionnaire.
