Pharmacy context

The pharmacy is located within a superstore on the edge of a town centre and is open for 100 hours each week.  Between 8000 and 8500 prescription items are dispensed each month. Drug user services are provided for one patient who has their consumption of a schedule 2 controlled drug supervised. Services offered include over the counter (OTC) sales of medicines, NHS & private dispensing, medication use reviews (MURs), new medicines service (NMS), a prescription collection service and, under patient group directions, a minor ailments scheme, a locally commissioned emergency supply scheme, emergency hormonal contraception, malaria prophylaxis, treatments for erectile dysfunction and flu vaccinations. The pharmacy offers blood pressure testing and health checks. The pharmacy is registered to receive referrals under the NHS urgent medicine supply advanced service (NUMSAS) and the digital minor illness referral scheme (DMIRs). ?
