Pharmacy context
This community pharmacy is situated on a parade of shops in Croxteth, Liverpool. The pharmacy dispenses NHS prescriptions, private prescriptions and sells over-the-counter medicines. It also provides a range of services including substance misuse supplies, seasonal flu vaccinations, and the NHS Pharmacy First service. The pharmacy supplies some people with medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to help them take their medicines at the right time. This was a reinspection following an inspection in November 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.1, 1.6, 4.3 and 5.2. This reinspection focused on those Standards which had previously not been met. The pharmacy had undertaken a risk assessment for the services it provides, and service level agreements have been created to help manage the associated risks. The pharmacy undertakes checks to ensure it only supplies medicines against prescriptions from services which are registered with CQC where registration is required. The pharmacy has updated its records and are reviewed to ensure they are correctly completed. A new fridge has been purchased by the pharmacy, and it routinely monitors the fridge temperatures to check they are within the correct range. Medicine disposal bins are suitably stored in a lockable room, which helps to prevent unauthorised access. The pharmacy has purchased new conical measures to ensure it is dispensing medicines accurately.
