Allied Pharmacy Torpoint (1125905)

Inspection outcome: Standards met

Last inspection: 13/01/2026

Since January 2025 our inspection reports are more concise and accessible - find out more about the changes

Pharmacy context

The pharmacy is adjacent to a medical centre in Torpoint, Cornwall. It changed ownership in November 2025. The pharmacy dispenses NHS and private prescriptions and provides advice to people about long- and short-term conditions. The pharmacy offers a range of NHS services including the NHS Pharmacy First service and the NHS New Medicines service. The pharmacy dispenses medicines into multi-compartment compliance packs to help people remember to take their medicines at the right time.

This was a reinspection following an inspection in April 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.1 and 4.3. This reinspection focused on those Standards which had previously not been met. The pharmacy had implemented much improved governance processes since the change in ownership. It was now recording and reviewing the mistakes it made. And all staff had access to a company portal where resources such as standard operating procedures and risk assessments could be viewed. The pharmacy had also taken action to ensure that all of its medicines were stored appropriately and as required by law.
