Pharmacy context
A community pharmacy located on a parade of shops in a residential area of Mitcham.
The pharmacy opens 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 1pm Saturday.
The pharmacy dispenses between 8,500 to 9,000 prescription items each month.
The pharmacy also provides a range of services including over the counter (OTC) sales of medicines, medicines use reviews (MURs), new medicines service (NMS), a repeat prescription collection and delivery service, a minor ailments scheme (MAS), smoking cessation, seasonal influenza vaccinations, travel vaccinations, patient group directions (PGDs) for emergency hormonal contraception and malaria chemoprophylaxis, chlamydia screening, needle exchange, substance misuse treatment for approximately 5 clients and monitored dosage system (MDS) dispensing for around 110 patients including 1 care home.
