Pharmacy context
This is a distance-selling pharmacy in the city of Glasgow. The pharmacy provides aesthetics products, botulinum toxins and injectable medicines for weight loss against private prescriptions issued by UK prescribers. It does this via its website www.aestheticsrxpharma.co.uk. Only prescribers and aesthetics practitioners can access services through the website. This was the first routine inspection of the pharmacy since it relocated from premises nearby in January 2026. At the last inspection of the previous premises in November 2025, the pharmacy did not meet Standard 4.2. Since the last inspection, the pharmacy has increased the checks it makes to ensure pharmacy processes are followed and the supplies it makes are appropriate. And it keeps records of those checks. This includes confirming a face-to-face consultation has taken place when a prescriber's address is geographically far from the person they are prescribing for. And communicating with prescribers when supplying medicines prescribed for an indication the medicine is not licensed for.
