Pharmacy context

This pharmacy is one of a small group of local pharmacies under family ownership. It dispenses people’s prescriptions, sells over-the-counter medicines and offers healthcare advice. It dispenses some medicines in multicompartment compliance packs for those who might otherwise struggle to manage them. It also provides private face-to-face services such as weight loss and travel vaccinations, which it promotes through its website.

This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in March 2017.
