The pharmacy does not maintain the records it needs to in line with requirements. Its records for higher risk medicines are not completed in a timely manner and it does not regularly check the balances of the medicines to make sure it is correct. This has led to discrepancies. It also does not keep records for the supply of unlicensed medicines and records for private prescriptions are not always accurate. So it may not be able to appropriately respond to a concern or query regarding the supply.

1. Ensure records for higher risk medicines are maintained and that patients are given leaflets regarding blood tests for higher risk medicines
2. Ensure balance checks are completed in line with SOP for medicines requiring a register to be kept
3. Ensure records for supplies of unlicensed medicines are kept in line with SOP
4. Ensure private prescription records are recorded accurately and in line with SOP
