| 1.1 | Team members can demonstrate the processes they follow to ensure services are managed safely. But the documented procedures were significantly overdue review, didn’t reflect some of the pharmacy’s updated processes and not all team members had read the procedures. There were no documented procedures for some pharmacy services including NHS Pharmacy First. So, the pharmacy cannot show that it assesses and reviews the risks of all the services it provides. |
Action is being taken to ensure all team members have read the appropriate Standard Operating Procedures and that the SOP’s are all brought up to date if required. Further action to ensure that we are not missing any SOP is being taken. We aim to make sure that all members of the team grasp the importance of the documented procedures and that the updated SOP’s reflect the pharmacy’s updated processes where required. Further action is being taken to ensure that any service provided by the pharmacy, such as Pharmacy First, is being covered by a documented procedure. |
