The pharmacy has written data protection procedures which has been read by members of the team. But they do not have the ability to destroy confidential information effectively. This had led to its team members using scissors to cut up confidential information, and some confidential information was found in the waste bin. So the pharmacy is unable to demonstrate that it protect people’s private information appropriately.

A suitable shredder will be provided to the store to ensure they can effectively dispose of confidential waste, any back log of waste will be removed appropriately.
